Working with a consortium of the School Department, the Community Cable system, and Cambridge Community Television, HMFH designed a television production and training center in a former auto dealership. The project included working closely with the three consortium members to define the unique needs of each organization, establish and monitor an overall project budget, and manage a successful process of approval by the Building Inspection Department, Board of Zoning Appeal, and Mid Cambridge Conservation District Commission. Special consideration was given to internal and external acoustic isolation, and existing condition violations were addressed in a successful variance request to the Building Board of Appeals.
