Brookline
Town Hall

HMFH’s renovation of Brookline’s seven-story, 1960s Town Hall improves both energy and operational efficiency. Renovations include new operable windows, MEP systems, and flooring designed to meet LEED Silver standards. Work also includes redesign of public spaces to improve circulation, wayfinding, and accessibility; redesign of the entry floor to better meet community needs; and reconfiguration of offices to improve efficiency and adjacencies.

To achieve the community’s ambitious sustainability goals, the team employed a variety of high-performance strategies, resulting in electric bills that have reportedly been reduced by 50% since before the renovation.
