Gann Academy
The first building on this new independent school campus is the main academic hall. It houses classrooms, core facilities and administration and begins to form a courtyard that will be the center of this growing campus as new phases are constructed. The heart of the building is the Bet Midrash, the central gathering space for the school’s community, accommodating worship and meditation as well as research and debate of Jewish cultural issues. The academic wing is designed to foster small group instruction and informal student-teacher interaction. Science labs and prep rooms occupy the lower level with the upper two floors containing small classrooms, clusters of student locker alcoves and faculty offices, as well as conference rooms, student lounges, and student mailboxes. A dining commons served by a kosher dairy kitchen, a library, music room, and fine arts suite complete the first phase.
