Glen Urquhart School Master Plan
As a follow up to its recently completed strategic plan, the Glen Urquhart School engaged HMFH to develop a master plan for its K-8 campus. The master plan develops a long-range vision for the 235-student campus and an organized plan for new buildings as well as replacement and expansion of existing buildings. Without a master plan, the academic and administrative spaces have evolved without any overall organization, resulting in poor circulation, lack of adequate staff and faculty spaces, inaccessible facilities, and poorly planned adjacencies. In addition, traffic and parking conflicted with pedestrian movement on the site. A roadmap for the future, the master plan allows appropriate growth and creates a strong campus image and sense of place, without losing the friendly and informal character of the school.
